Boonie Stomps - Guatali Falls

We hike from the central mountains of Guam into a pristine valley with 4 large waterfalls, two jumping spots, and two swimming holes. Bring: 4 quarts water, sturdy hiking shoes that can get wet, swimsuit, gloves, sun screen, sunglasses, insect repellent, lunch, and camera. Special conditions: Rocky steep downhill trail, walking in water, slippery rocks, short steep climbs down, sword grass, a long hike, and a long steep hike up and out.

Boonie Stomps - Cetti 7 Falls

We descend into the Cetti River Valley and then climb up all 7 waterfalls using set ropes. This requires good upper body strength to climb up to 60 vertical feet on slippery rock. Bring: 3 quarts water, hiking shoes that can get wet, swimsuit, gloves, sun screen, insect repellent, lunch and snacks, and camera. Special conditions: Steep slopes, sword grass, walking in water, and serious rope climbing. This stomp is for experienced boonie stompers.

We hike through the red clay badlands of southern Guam, through the grassy central savannah, and finally down to the Inarajan River to enjoy swimming and showering in one of Guam’s most scenic waterfalls. Bring 3 quarts water, good shoes, gloves, sun screen, lunch and snacks, camera, and swimsuit. Special conditions: Steep slopes up and down, sword grass, little shade, climbing with a rope to visit the bottom of the falls, and a long hike

We journey to a beautiful secluded waterfall in central Guam for swimming and pictures, then hike along a pristine jungle river to enjoy a second waterfall with jumping and swimming. Bring: 2 quarts water, hiking shoes that can get wet, swimsuit, gloves, sun screen, insect repellent, lunch, and camera. Special conditions: Steep slopes, walking in water, mud, rocky slippery river bottom, and climbing up and assisted by a rope. Bataan Falls: add 1 quart water, extra snacks, extra river walking, and extra, steeper rope climbing.

We follow a small cool green hidden stream full of small cascades and swim pools to journey to 3 big waterfalls on the upper Sella River in southern Guam. The adventurous can continue on to the false summit of Mt. Lamlam. Bring: 3 quarts water, get wet shoes, gloves, sun screen, insect repellent, lunch, and camera. Special conditions: Walking in water through a rocky river, steep slopes through sword grass, and climbing falls with a rope.

Boonie Stomps - Agfayan Falls

We enjoy views, fight through tall sword grass, then descend to the Agfayan River ledges for jumping, sliding, and swimming. We then hike up the picturesque middle falls, enjoy the shaded Agfayan Falls, continue to Cannonball Falls, and circle back to the start. Bring: 3 quarts water, get wet shoes, gloves, sun screen, lunch, and camera. Special conditions: Sword grass, walking in water, slippery rocks, and a fairly long hike.

In celebration of our 50th anniversary, we revisit a very old hike. We hike down the Ugum River to Bubulao Falls, then on to the top of Talofofo Falls, passing many falls, rapids, cascades, and swim holes on the way. Bring: 2 quarts water, get wet shoes, gloves, sun screen, lunch and snacks, and camera. Special conditions: Steep slopes, extensive walking in water, sometimes deep water, slippery rocks, sword grass, and a long hike.

We traverse some tricky sword grass slopes, head down an open forested ridge, and work our way through limestone forest before reaching the back entrance to the Ghost Cave complex. We’ll explore the caves and tunnel, soak in the small waterfall, and relax on the boulders. Bring: 3 quarts water, get wet shoes, swim suit, gloves, sun screen, insect repellent, lunch, and camera. We hike to Upper Lonfit Falls, then continue to the upper reaches of the Lonfit River past an endless series of waterfalls and cascades, including swimming, jumping, a flume canyon, and a rope swing. Bring: 3 quarts water, get wet shoes, gloves, sun screen, insect repellant, lunch and snacks, and a camera. Special conditions: extensive walking in water, slippery rocks, steep slopes, mud, sword grass, mosquitoes, relentlessly uphill and slippery trail.

We hike down open ridgeline to the abandoned Sherman tanks and landing craft at Tank Farm. We make the tricky crossing of two small streams to reach Guam’s iconic waterfall and best swim hole to enjoy jumping and swimming. Bring: 4 quarts water, hiking shoes, swimsuit, gloves, sun screen, lunch, snacks, and camera. Special conditions: A long hike with little shade, muddy slopes, a tricky stream crossing, and a steep climb up and down assisted by ropes.
