While most hotels provide courtesy vehicles for airport transfers or taxi service to and from your desired points of interest, the easiest way to explore the island beyond resort Tumon and its Pleasure Island district is to rent a car or scooter.
Guam is also home to Guam Mass Transit Authority, which provides public transportation services to residents and visitors. Buses are currently operating in 15 routes, five of which cater to people with disabilities. Service frequencies vary from 30 minutes to two hours at designated bus stops throughout the island, six days per week (closed on Sundays). Hours of service generally extend from 5:30AM to 6:30PM with standard fare at $3/day or $1/ride, with discounts for senior citizens, students, and persons with disabilities.
If open-air is your preference, check out the trolley system, which transports visitors from Tumon to other shopping destinations throughout central Guam. Fares are inexpensive, and it can be a memorable experience for families. Trolley schedules and pick-up points are located at all shopping centers.

Around Kolonia, walking is the best way to discover Kolonia. Taxis are also easily available and can be called to most location around Pohnpei. Taxi fare are inexpensive in Kolonia only $1.00 to any destination around Kolonia. Around the Island, taxi rates are depending on the destination from one destination to another take for example: a taxi to Palikir from Kolonia is $2.00 and taxi to the Village Hotel is $3 per person. Renting a car is an easy way to go around Pohnpei. Rental cars are available at the airport and through hotels. Renting boat and bus are also available just ask your hotel to make the arrangement for you.

Driving in Kosrae
The legal speed limit of Kosrae is generally 25 miles per hour (40 km/h) unless otherwise specified. Exercise caution when driving during the rainy season. Kosrae's roads are made of coral and asphalt, and when water is added, an oily residue is created. This makes tire contact with the road slippery.

Marshall Islands
There is an abundance of taxis on Majuro. One can get to anywhere in town with just $.75 per ride (most places are within walking distance). To get to Laura, the other end of the island, there is a bus stop that frequently leaves from Robert Reimers Hotel and costs $2.00 per ride. Otherwise, one can also rent a car and cruise the island at Majuro’s car rentals.
