The Marianas Visitors Authority will debut its newest signature event, the Marianas Beer & BBQ Festival on Nov. 4, 2017, on Saipan.
The festival will pair Marianas brews with island-style barbecue and other appetizers beside the Saipan lagoon at Garapan Fishing Base.
“Everyone knows one of the most iconic things to do in the Marianas is to kick back on the weekend with some cold drinks, some fresh chasers, and your friends and family. The Marianas Beer & BBQ Festival will highlight that experience,” said MVA managing director Christopher A. Concepcion, in announcing the event. “Beer festivals are also popular in our main source markets, which will make this event a great added attraction for visitors.”
The festival is scheduled from 5pm to 10pm and will feature a special signatory beer glass that patrons can use throughout the event and keep as a souvenir.
The event will be open to adults age 21 and older (21 is the legal drinking age in the Marianas).
Slated to participate are Saipan Brewing Co., which manufactures the only locally brewed beer in the Marianas, as well as six companies distributing craft beers: Pacific Trading Co, MarPac, Franken Brau, West Pac, Dickerson & Quinn, and Samcorp Import.
