Boonie Stomp - Ija to Mt. Schroeder

We, go to hell and beyond. We make the long steep hike to the summit of Mt. Sasalaguan with its outstanding views, traverse to Atete, climb steeply down into the oven, then reach the summit of Mt. Schroeder. Bring: 4 quarts water, good hiking shoes, gloves, sun screen, lunch and snacks, and camera. Special conditions: Sword grass, steep slopes, long uphill climbs, sword grass, little shade, a long hike.

We explore the Spanish bridge, Spanish oven, and ancient Chamorro latte stones at Sella Bay, with time for snorkeling, swimming, or hanging out beneath the shade of the palms. The hike back to our cars includes the optional waterfall route. Bring: 2 quarts water, hiking shoes, swim suit, snorkel gear, gloves, insect repellent, sun screen, lunch, and camera. Special conditions: A long hike in the sun over, clay, sand, rocks, and mud.

We follow a small cool green hidden stream full of small cascades and swim pools to to 3 big waterfalls on the upper Sella River. The adventurous can continue on to the false summit of Mt. Lamlam. Bring: 3 quarts water, get wet shoes, gloves, sun screen, insect repellent, lunch, and camera. Special conditions: Walking in water through a rocky river, steep slopes through sword grass, and climbing falls with a rope.

Boonie Stomp - Mt. Jumullong – Manglo Loop

We hike up the wide but sometimes steep trail to the large crosses on top of the mountain next to Mt. Lamlam to enjoy fantastic 270 degree views. We then continue on the sword grass lined southern mountain trail to the steep downhill slopes of the rain gauge trail. Bring: 2 quarts water, hiking shoes, gloves, sun screen, sunglasses, lunch, and camera. Special conditions: Sword grass, rough rocks, and steep slopes.
